I have a problem. Me and my girlfriend live about an hour apart. She, at the moment, is working extremely hard to become a teacher with both student teaching, a credential program, and various certifications. This culminates in her being very tired and often not cooking for herself. Not having a great diet makes her exhaustion even worse.

I am looking for things to make her that she can keep around when I'm not there. Things that are good reheated and last a while. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Here is the last batch of things I sent her home with:

Stew is really great for this. When I make beef burgundy I make a lot and freeze some extra single portions. Reheats very well. You could also roast a whole chicken and make some kfc bowl things with mashed potatoes, corn, chicken and gravy.

She's probably going to be teaching elementary school with that degree, so call her what she is: a glorified baby sitter. I take it she's mid 20's, late 20's at worst. At that age, what can you teach someone? The only good teachers I've had have been 50+ years old, who have such a bevy of life experiences and different jobs. She's probably been school most of her life and had a couple menial parttime jobs. You don't learn about real work/relationships until you go full time, so again, can't teach anything truly meaningful and valuable
