I'm not a huge fan of the current menu and the recent price hikes, but I'll still do the nachos fries box over the chalupa one because sticking the fries in an al fresco soft taco is better than a regular chalupa, and I don't care about the cinnamon twists or the drink. Last night I went cheap and just bought stuff off the dollar menu (fritos burrito, bean and rice burrito, potato taco, and nachos). I added some things, but wish I got more because the guy at the register was clearly new and an idiot so never actually finalized my mobile order. It wasn't even started when I got to the window, but because he didn't put it through I never actually got charged.

When the fuck did the chips + salsa/nacho cheese/pico get to $2? Could've sworn that shit was like a dollar for forever. Also they keep raising the price on the chalupa box. Used to be $5 and then a few months ago they upped it to $6 and now it's $6.50. Honestly I feel like it'll be $10 eventually. All the other combo shit on the menu is retardedly priced by comparison, like 3 tacos + drink being $8+ or 1 XXL burrito/taco/drink being around the same when you can get the chalupa box with a ton of shit for cheaper.

I still eat there though. I'm lucky enough to have so many within quick driving distance that I'm able to find which one or two are decent and which are disgusting.
I prefer to make my own tacos at home more & more these days, though, and believe it or not my favorite taco seasoning packet in the supermarkets is the Taco Bell one, much better than the McCormick or Lawry's (the Old El Paso one is just straight up disgusting).
