You just need to taste some stuff. Hard cider is a good starter, your taste buds change as you get older and so you may develop a take for what kind of beers you like. Drinking wine is also a good route.

Beer tastes vary.
Some beers are more or less bitter, mainly do to hops.
IPAs tend to have the most hops.
Other beers have ingredients or are made with yeasts that some oeople are mildly allergic to.
I honestly find Colt 45 to be one of the easier to drink beers, as far as “beer” goes although it’s usually referred to as malt liquor.
Maybe try this.
It’s also inexpensive.
Other beers you might want to try are white wheat beers.
Ot Belgian fruit beers.
The Belgian style fruit beers are heavy on the fruit, and tend to taste closer to beer mixed with fermented fruit.
Heather ale if you find it also isn’t made with hops, so may be more agreeable.

Do or dont. I used to drink light beers because they were what I could afford and got tired of water that just made me sick so I began experimenting. Now I drink amber or yellow ales (Fat Tire, 312) and enjoy a stout or cider here and there. In other words, avoid domestics, they are cheap flavorless shit. If you like really hoppy shit then try some IPAs. Tons of variety there, but I dont go out of my way for any in particular.

It's always skunked. Light makes beer taste like shit after a while, clear bottles are the worst for keeping beer fresh, green is better but still not great, and brown bottles are best. Actually cans are best because they keep out even more light and oxygen, and you can find some really high quality beer in cans now.

Blue Moon is the readily available wheat beer that bars have.
They use orange in the recipe, so they suggest the beer gets garnished with an orange. Wheat beers are traditionally garnished with a lemon slice.
There are better wheat beers, but some like Troegs Dreamwraver would not be to everyones taste, because it’s much thicker.
Blue Moon is easily drinkable, and readily available, and still affordable compared to better wheat beers.

look up on rating aggregate sites what beers in your state are considered good (ratebeer, untappd)

get ones that seem interesting, try different styles until you get one you like, it's summer so wheat beers, sours, berliner weisse, gose, saison, etc are appropriate

maybe some ale if you find one you like
