I don’t like the taste of smoky whiskeys. I’m also tired of people bitching I’m not a real man for not drinking it. If doing shit I hate made me a man, I’d be Superman for working a job I hate 60hours a week

There are people who drink whiskey, and then there are people who study whiskey and act all snobby about it

The former can come off as soys

Turning 21 in thirty minutes. What should be the first drink I buy for myself now that I can legally?

Long Island Iced Tea. You should be pretty fucking hammered after two of them if you're not an experienced drinker.

This, or an Old-fashioned. They're both pretty entry-level cocktails that most restaurants and bars serve. If you get a beer, remember that lagers are usually less aggressive than ales.

I'm a lonely alcoholic, but if I do get a drink after a meal while eating out, it's either a scotch and soda (Red Label) or gin and tonic (Bombay, no ice, with lime).

I would consider myself something of an experienced drinker. I obviously haven’t had as much as a 50 year old alcoholic, but I can handle my booze at this point. The problem is that up until this point I’ve mostly had cheap, shitty liquor because I wasn’t the one buying for myself and just wanted to get drunk on as little money as possible. Now that I can be more free to chose I hope to be a little classier with my drinking. Either because of my habit of exclusivity drinking large quantities of shitty vodka or just because of genes I have a very high tolerance and feel almost nothing from liquor even in large enough quantities to make others pass out.
