as the other anon said. spam is made with only two cuts of meat: pork shoulder and ham. in fact its in the name SPiced hAM. The issue comes when you think an already salty AF meat (ham) and then add more preservatives on top.

You might as well go for real ham, Spam is nice, but its north of $3 a can. In Hawaii where everything is fuck expensive, I could see it being $5 or more, and its just 12 ounces. Real ham generally costs much less. Around Easter my market has it for $0.69 a pound.
Spam only has an advantage where non-refrigerated shelf life matters.
