You paid ~$98/lbs if that picture in the OP is what you paid. So for that price, I would be a bit hesitant as well.

I paid $38.57/lbs for mine.

I would certainly buy it again, for special occasions, not something i'd buy regularly though.

oh i didn't pay, and i didnt prepare it. It was at Smith and Wollensky. $68 for the filet, some asparagus and some cipolini onions. The onions were cash.

Damn, $136/lbs isn't TERRIBLE, but yeah, i'm not sure i'd want to do that too often.

Still, I really enjoyed my A5, and it's certainly worth experiencing at least once, even if you don't find it worth it enough to do again.

i actually think its a solid deal when you consider preparation, sides, restaurant markup, etc. certainly a better deal than the $160 tomahawk.

Oh for sure, it's not a BAD price, especially at a restaurant, and for tenderloin, but it's not a particularly attractive price either.

It's certified A5 from Kagoshima.

Not all A5 is BMS 11 or 12.

Lmao troll harder retard, it's clear as day A5 when looked at directly head on instead of from the top like the original picture you're commenting on.

Just look at this comparison, it's clearly not BMS grade 7, which is the highest quality A4.

You're starting to seem just as bad as the audiophiles who argue against scientists.
Anyway it's just my personal opinion on the grade, so if it's a5 enough for you then that should be good enough.

It was graded A5 in japan, it was sold as A5, the marbling is clearly WELL into the BMS9/10 range, i mean you'd have to be an actual retard to continue to insist that it's ACTUALLY A4.

The marbling is FAR too high of a percentage to be A4, it's not even BMS8, it's clearly at least BMS9 and pushing into 10.

Had some A5 at a yakiniku spot in Fukuoka, and it was delicious. I thought people used to exaggerate about the melting sensation, but it's legit.
