Has /ck/ ever made their own unique cocktail or put a spin on a classic? Post your creations lads.

One part water, two parts more water. Best cocktail you can possibly have.

>> No.12744865

Lost the original recipe so I had to recreate from memory.

Empire State.
Muddle 4-5 ripe blackberries with 8-10 blueberries and a few leaves of fresh rosemary. Shake with 2 oz bourbon, 1 oz vodka, 1 oz lime juice, and 1 oz simple syrup. Strain before garnishing with a sprig of rosemary.

Cocktail was from the 1920s but I can't find records of it anymore. Bright damned pink.

I call it: BEER.
Ingredients:
1 part beer
Open can/bottle of beer. Pour into glass.

Seriously, though, beer is the only alcoholic drink I enjoy. I love almost all kinds of beer, from malt liquor and pale lager to hazy double IPA juice bombs to barrel-aged stout. Wine and liquor make me gag. Beer is easy to drink and full of flavor. I don't even enjoy being drunk. I just get tired, and then I puke a bunch.

Spiced Plum Manhattan
>1.5 oz rye whiskey (I use bulleit 95)
>1.5 oz plum wine (I use local)
>.5 oz plum simple syrup
>4-6 dashes ginger cardamom bitters
Stir with ice until chilled & strain into a coupe glass.

Plum Simple syrup
>10 ripe black (more sweet) or red (more sour) plums, pit removed, skin on
>3 cups sugar
>3 cups water
Boil everything together just ~5 minutes and remove from heat but let it steep another 2-3 hours with the plum skins before you strain through a fine sieve, pressing on the solids to get out all the liquid. Run the liquid again through a coffee filter and bottle. Makes about 40 oz.

A handful of about 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves into the glass
Bruise the mint with a muddler or wooden spoon
Ice, preferably a 2” square cube
2 parts whiskey/bourbon/rye
3 parts grapefruit juice, fresh squeezed preferred
Stir
Topper of 1 part gin and half an orange squeezed on top of the gin
If you have any cherries, toss a few in, halved

I specifically invented this to hit all of my cravings and for a drink that gracefully degrades rather than going to shit in 5 min

I did one for a girlfriend once when we called in sick from work one day and just wanted to fuck all day. It was that white chocolate godiva liquor and some coqnac. Once I got the ratio right it was really good but fattening so we only took a few sips. I never gave it a name or anything, it was just random based on stuff that I had on hand and the time.

Baileys irish cream + chocolate milk + vodka = bad mix

>> No.12746029

The worst mix i ever made was a large bottle of pina colada, but to save money i used 2 cans of coconut cooking milk instead of the normal malibu coconut rom. Very bad mix.

I've tweaked the standard whiskey sour recipe to suit my tastes. I add a splash of angostura bitters to add some depth to the citrusy taste, and rather than using all simple syrup, I use about half the measure and the other (not quite) half is grenadine syrup for a little more fruitiness.

A lounge lizard is like 2 parts dark rum and 1 part amaretto filled with cola over ice. You basically reversed the booze and ditched the cola. Maybe pun on that.
You're also only some trip sec and a lime away from a decent (dark) faux mai tai.

Not my cocktail, but one of my roommates.
Many parts Grain Alcohol
Less parts orange drink (like hi-c or sunny-d)
Pour into the largest glass you have
Grenadine optional
Wa la. I give you the hobo sunrise.

If you want to get fancy, vanilla-flavored vodka with SunnyD is delicious.

>> No.12747518

Don't have a name for it but I've been enjoying this lately. It's a traditional "before dinner" martini variation.

>1 part dry vermouth
>1 part vodka
>1 part london dry gin
>1 part Kelso "Elephant" botanical gin

The Elephant gin is heavily infused with cumin and cardamom which, when balanced with the vermouth and london dry makes for a very dry yet palateable martini. I like a walnut-stuffed olive as a garnish but lemon peel works too.

my first job was at mcdonalds, during the holidays I would make an eggnog shake then go in the office and pour a bunch of spiced jagermeister into it from a flask I brought with me. I was the opening manager.
and good on you op for the bird with arms, this has been my steam profile pic for 5 years.
