Whats the best Frozen dinner, and why is it Hungry Man? Best portions and price

>> No.12738060

havent had one for like 20 years but the hungry man whipped potato and the hungry man corn were seriously the best versions of the sides i've ever had, bar none

like you know you're a fucking lazy cunt when you'd rather throw a $6 frozen mac n cheese in the microwave for 4 minutes instead of just making a box of mac n cheese in 10min for $1 instead.

i guess I just wish frozen meals were cheaper, still just seems ridiculous when I can get a good cut of meat for $2 or $3 and cook up some veggies and still have the home cooked version turn out cheaper, if only taking an extra 5 minutes to cook.

plus they never look like the box.

I unironically live on Lean cuisine and Stouffers frozen meals. I'm autistic about being healthy and having the exact calories for a meal on the box lets me easily calculate it. Not to mention it's better than any shitty health food or any fast food I have had. $1.40 per meal when bought in bulk. I also occasionally go for Bob Evans frozen cream chipped beef but that one is hit or miss. Never heats evenly despite stirring and sometimes the gravy is more gray than white which is nasty.

Even after a couple of hours being left sitting out, the corn and the mashed potato are perfectly bouncy and hydration-providing, both on their own and together.
Amd the chicken is KFC-tier.
Yes, Godly.
Even after left to cool in the open for a couple hours after nuking, the breading remains a perfect balance of crunchy and spongy, 'genius-level-brain-gray-matter/cortex' wrinkly intricate membrane of a fried mixture of flour, batter, oils and spices.
Fast food points: 10/10

Like a microwave meister, I nuke the El Monterey sleeveless-reheat-system frozen BEEF & BEAN CHIMICHANGAS on my smallest plate as to ensure minimal heat transfer between the reheated food item and the ceramic carrier/container it's sitting on. I let it cool off for 5 minutes before taking a bite

>> No.12758385

>>12758364
The chimichanga is an experience of thermal interplay as much as one of flavor, with consecutive bites presenting you with reasonably warm, to piping hot, to lukewarm-cold volumes of the pastry filling paste (itself flavored with subtle (bland) bean-mildness and subtler (blander) bacon-spicy-bite.
