>didn’t go to engineering school for eight years to get a PhD in fluid dynamics to design a machine that is 100% efficient at osmosis to extract all the salt that is contained in a volume of water that crystallizes instantly to a shape that can be grind most effectively with a salt grinder made of an experimental undiscovered alloy that is omniscient and can calculate the exact shape and size of the salt crystals it cuts to make the food it distributes salt into as tasty as possible and immediately awards its user an official Michelin star upon use

grinding salt preserves the flavor, which evaporates when the salt grain is broken up. this can take as short a time as 1 billion years, at which time the chlorine atoms may have decayed.

Salt grinders literally do nothing for flavor. It’s an inorganic compound. Pepper and other spice grinders on the other hand, do.
