I'm running out of ideas for breakfast.
It is the only proper meal I have on the days I work, and I want to make it count.

Usually I make a shakshuka, sometimes without the tomatoes (so just peppers, onions, garlic and eggs), or just plain bacon and eggs.

Not the same guy, but biochem student here. i think youre missing the point in regards to nutrition. Just because something is fatty, or heavy in carbs, or heavy in protein doesnt necessarily make it "unhealthy". I think using a burger as an example only makes it subjectively unhealthy in the sense that there arent any greens in it, or because its nutritionally dense.

You can eat nothing but broccoli and salad, and as long as youre OVERCONSUMING calories, youre gonna gain weight, body fat, and visceral fat.

The opposite is also true, you can live on a diet of sugar, and burgers(there are studies on this), and as long as youre underconsuming calories, blood sugar levels will remain constant, and you will lose body fat.

Is a burger part of an OPTIMAL diet? Thats arguable but probably not. I think most people who eat fast food just eat lots of it, and as a result are fat fucks, but you can eat whatever you want in moderation as long as the majority of your diet is good, and as long as youre exercising consistently.
