What's the fanciest meal you've ever had?

I had beef wellington on a cruise ship once. The appetizer was fried prawns and the dessert was chocolate lava cake.

Truffle Smashburger or a sushi boat. The burger sucked, it was ungodly rich and the fake truffle oil or whatever they used just tasted like they roasted an entire bulb of garlic until the cloves turned translucent orange/brown and put it all in one serving of sauce.

I took Barbara to The Olive Garden for our 30th anniversary. The food is good but it's really fancy so I like to save it for special occasions.

I shit you not, Beef Tartare with slices of Rye bread and an Olive Oil and Vinegar dip. I've had more expensive meals, but that was for sure the most expensive for what I actually got.

Even amerifats would get full with that much, unless the meal took place over literal hours.

Went to a Michelin star restaurant years ago. I can barely remember the meal, the main I got was some honey glazed chicken thing I think; all I remember was that while it tasted very nice, it was ludicrously small. 3 bites and you're done. Which meant my wife and I were hungry for the rest of the evening until we decided to just fill ourselves on desserts. Ultimately a very good evening, but it made me realise I prefer small, honest restaurants to anything fancy.

Good question, probably something I made at home. Either that time I was in the Carribbean and bought like 5 lbs. of fresh spiny lobster for me, 2 roommates, and my cousin, or the time I made a classic rib roast dinner with all the fixings. I've done a leg of lamb before too with herb rice.

Fancy basically just means large portions of quality meat prepared well. I'm too cheap and introverted to get fine dining.

I went to the white house once and got to eat these gourmet hot sandwiches. It was crazy, 2 patties on 3 slices of bread. Even had a unique sauce that is most definitely not thousand island dressing. They also had this insane bubbly black liquid that tasted like life and death

>Prime rib eye, Philly cheese steak sandwich from the leftovers of said rib eyes, fries from the leftover fat.
Also Jack and cokes.
Home cooking is best. The rib eye had a great crust. Butter tender center, all the flavors that would make some youtube chef jealous, and drooling like retards.
The Phillies were great too. The fries were awesome.

I ate at the restaurant inside Cinderella's Castle in Magic Kingdom once. I probably wouldn't go again, as it's a huge pain now. In addition to the high prices, you have to book several months in advance and put down a deposit, and the menu is a lot shorter and surprisingly uninspired for what's supposed to be the park's flagship restaurant. Crystal Palace buffet and the Beauty and the Beast restaurant are superior.

Fanciest I ever had was this one time I was in Spain.
My professor invited me and a few other people out to a dinner he was attending in Madrid, but I thought it was just going to be some casual thing so I just went in jeans and a dress shirt.
fuck everyone was fully kitted out plus I already had half a buzz going on because I used to just day drink .
Can't even remember the food besides these tiny meat things like 3 on a plate covered in some kind of sweet sauce.
I got fucked that night too lol nice

More or less. Because of the intense demand for tables, their main goal is to get you in and out as fast as possible, and the food takes a back seat.

*SWEEPS ALL YOUR FROU-FROU SHIT OFF THE TABLE*
>[glass and china shatter on marble floor]
>other diners gasp in horror
>slam down my pizza box and 2 liter mt. dew
>grab chair with my greasy paw and attempt to sit
>chair instantly explodes under my heft
>i stand, flatulating with the roar of over 9000 lions in shart valley
>it's a wet one, but nothing can stop me now
>i paw my way into the grease-stained cardboard treasure chest that lays before me
>i snatch the first slice under my dirt-filled talons
>it slides into my gullet easily
>in this ecstasy chewing is impossible
>i take another slice, moaning in pure reverence
>i throw it high into the air to admire its beauty
>a majestic sheen of grease catches the chandelier-lighting hanging high above
>my slice of heaven descends like a flavortown angel
>the crust hits me flat across the eyes, blinding me
>it's of no importance, i've seen more than i'd have ever dreamed to in 1000 lifetimes
>the cheesy tip is between my lips
>i stand fully erect in front of everyone in the dining hall
>my pizza nurses me an underserved dairy-esque apology
>i suck cheese and sauce off my face like a Dyson v11
>i'm brought out of my trance as i begin to choke
>my mozzarella-haired goddess dances fervently on my gag reflex
>my eyes are bloodshot and my face is going purple
>is this the end?
>could this really be death by frou-frou?
>i collapse onto the table, but my hand has struck salvation
>MOUNTAIN DEW, SAVE MY LIFE!
>i slam the sugary nectar into my mouth
>i am instantly revived in a wave of joyous refreshment!
>i close up my pizza box and tuck it back under my arm
>tears of bliss roll down my face as i waddle out of the dining room
>i step outside into the setting sun, never to be heard from again

For me bois, it's the $5 Little Caesar's Hot-N-Ready large pepperoni.
