Thinking about eating nothing but Soylent/Water maybe some tuna for 30 days. Will this make me lose weight? I'm 100lbs overweight

Serious question.

>> No.12607121

Killing yourself would have a similar effect.

>> No.12607126

And what were you planning to do when the 30 days were up? Go back to eating shit all day like you do now?
If you really want to lose weight, and keep it off, you need to change your lifestyle permanently and you need to change it to something that won't make you want to kill yourself.
Stop snacking, stop drinking soda and alcohol, eat smaller portions, and eat healthier food. Instead of a burger you can have a bowl of stew or whatever. Let vegetables take up more of your plate and meat less.
It's not rocket science, dipshit. You just want a quick fix so you can go back to eating like a pig.

Why do fatties always resort to extreme measures? "Oh I will starve myself for three days", "I will only eat kale" etc. Ffs just learn how to cook, cut down carbs and exercise and change to a sustainable lifestyle.

The number one weight loss recommendation is movement. You need your muscles to be burning calories like an engine instead of trying to starve your body.
You can also sub soylent and tuna for your post-workout meal or something but eat whatever during the day.
Don’t eat after 9pm.
...That’s really it.

This is like an alcoholic shouting at your from a pool of his own shit that he doesn't need your advice because he used to be sober.

If you're fat it's because you love food and hate exercise. I can sympathise with both of those, by the way.
But if you love food and you try this Soylent diet of yours you'll want to blow your fucking brains out after a few days at most. It's completely unrealistic and you fucking know it. Change your diet and start going for a nice long walk in the nice weather. I'm sure you can get a pedometer app on your phone. Aim for at least 10k steps every day.
And don't reward yourself with snacks when you meet that goal.
If you're so fucking savvy about health and diet you already know it takes time and there are no easy solutions.
You'll just have to accept you're not getting that beach body this Summer and aim for next year instead.

When you get up in the morning, drink a glass of freezing cold water, and theb go for a 25 minute powerwalk.

Cut out sugar and processed foods, and dont eat after 7pm (if you absolutely have to, snack on cottage cheese after this point)

This will kick your metabolism into gear and you will burn fat more effectively throughout the day. Black coffee also aids this.

What also helps, is eating a high fat and protein meal for breakfast with little to no carbs, your body digests the fat and sets it up as a primary source of energy for the day, and will burn through your fat reserves first, which is more efficient.

Small meals every 2 hours also helps with kicking the metabolism into gear, as does eating spicy foods like chilli.

When you feel cravings for bad food, eat lots of fruit (pears and bananas work great for this) to keep your natural sugar levels up, and prevent you from craving bad food.

Hope this helps. Going through a meal.replacement temporary diet means that as soon as you start eating normally again, your body will put the weight straight back on, which isnt sustainable.

basic diet plan:
every day walk at least 30 minutes.
>breakfast
two pieces of toast (700 kj) with peanut butter (250 kj) & margarine (250kj), one orange or peach (250 kj)
>lunch
250g roast chicken breast (1800 kj) + 2 boiled eggs (600 kj) + basic salad eg sliced tomato, spinach leaves, carrot) (150ish kj), another orange/peach (250 kj)
>dinner
250g roast chicken breast (1800 kj) or 250g minced beef made into patties/burgers (1650 kj) + 2 boiled eggs (600 kj) + salad (150ish kj). capsicum/bell pepper or an onion would also work here.

Will be roughly 6500 kilojules/1550 kilocalories, which will equal weight loss if you keep to it.

As long as you have access to at least a fridge & microwave for lunch (ie, if you're working) then obviously you just cook the lunch the night before.

Honestly when you are 100 overweight just eat 2k calories and you will lose weight quickly for a few months and it wont even feel that bad.

Buy only the groceries you need to cook meals nothing premade so that way its harder for you to snack and if you do its on a dinner you made. If you want a cake make it from scratch and eat it but eventually you will be too lazy and thus start cooking quick simple meals like some green beans and a hunk of meat which will make things easier to manage calorie wise.

Start trying sparkling water with those little flavor shots that you can add to it to help curb your soda addiction.

>Why do fatties always resort to extreme measures? "Oh I will starve myself for three days"
It's not really "starving himself" if he's 100lb overweight. Really anyone 100lb overweight could easily go many months off water, electrolytes, and *maybe* some vitamins thrown into the mix.
Somewhat speaking from experience (except for the being overweight part): I have Ulcerative Colitis and even as much of a concentration camp wraith I ended up from the disease fucking with me constantly (shitting blood and vomiting, unable to hold down solid food) the hospital staff (doctors, nurses, and the people who work with the diagnostic stuff) were all 100% nonchalant about maintaining me on nothing but sugar water through an IV drip with some electrolytes and vitamins along the way, for very long stretches of time (I remember once we were approaching a full month before they started switching to the full blown parenteral nutrition).
One nurse explained to me when I asked about it that most people grossly underestimate how vital food is to your immediate survival compared to water. You get water, electrolytes, and a little bit of glucose and you're pretty fucking far from starving to death even if you're starting out as a horribly sick underweight mess. Now if you're starting out instead as morbidly obese then you're beyond fine, like potentially lasting well over a full year with no food fine:

Benzos lead to dependency even harder than alcohol and thus coming off of them is even more dangerous unless you're a super hardcore alcoholic. Then it's the same. Seizures are common. Destruction of grey matter is inevitable. Alcohol is by far easier to obtain. You know this. The hangover is the thing that stops many from becoming as addicted and dysfunctional as benzo addicts. It's a lot more difficult than you're giving credit. With benzos, especially grey market ones, the doses are so tiny, and the consumption so easy, that someone with the desire to escape their reality needs to have strong self control (which benzos do the exact upside) to reduce usage in a clinical taper.

My main point is don't recommend benzos to people with addictive personalities.

Wowee who would think that 4chan is an insulated environment that rejects many, many people and only really accepts self hating people who want to find an outlet to shit on while a few try to talk about their niche interest. Who would have thought that the veil of anonymity was made for people of all sorts to focus on special interests.

Hey OP, here's what worked for me.
Eat sensible portions at each meal. Eat lots of lean protein and vegetables, a moderate amount of natural fats and complex carbs, and very little or no refined carbs (bread, pasta, soda, alcohol). Making your own soups is a good way to control your calorie/nutrient intake and save money as a bonus.
Get at least 30 minutes of cardio every day (even if it's just a brisk walk around the neighborhood) and at least two sessions of heavy cardio per week. Do some kind of strength training at least three times a week, adding muscle raises your BMR so you burn more calories long term. Resistance bands or a kettlebell are both affordable ways to train at home without a gym membership.
Don't try and lose weight quickly because you'll feel like shit, you'll be more likely to put weight back on and you'll wind up with lots of saggy skin.

you dont know what you are talking about. first you suggest "working out" to build body mass then you suggest that he stop bulking and start cutting - which is basically losing weight. You cant really build muscle while losing weight so your advice is contradictory. Please lurk moarl.

Sounds like a shitty diet to be on. I,doubt you'll last, as it is so bland.
Try eating less, avoid sugary snacks, and go for a walk

I only had copious water, a vitamin, and when I was about to lose my shit, a bit of whisky for 72 hours and I lost 6 pounds. 2 came back when I ate again but that was 3 weeks ago and I’m still -4 pounds. I’m thinking that’s what I’ll do from here on out, just identify shitty 72 hour chunks, make them more shitty but end up about -4 each time.

>I kind of get what you're saying, in that those with functioning digestive systems would be better equipped
I mean, that'd definitely help too, but I was more referring to having meat on your bones. If you're going in with 100lb over what you need like OP you have a massive amount of stored up nutrition you can live off of in the absence of food. I think modern people forget that's the entire point of why anyone gets fat in the first place. It's not just some unfortunate thing that makes you unattractive and have health problems. It's an adaptation for storing up large amounts of nutrition / energy to be used at later dates.

Wrong. Exercise is for health, diet is for weight loss. You'd have to spend hours of your day exercising to even burn off a small meal. Its much easier to just eat less.

I feel like dieting requires a lot of motivation and has a slow payoff.
If you work out you can see a payoff fairly quickly and that is a great motivator. Results are addictive and when you start to see some changes happening with your body you want to keep that momentum and eating habits are the logical next step. It’s more of a psychological technique than anything.

The “reverse seer” of physical fitness.

Hey NameFig Audrey.

This speaks to my experience with losing weight. I started out 220lbs 5'11" when I started running Phrak's Greyskull LP. After a year I got down to 180lbs and I could deadlift 275 and squat 185. And that was from sitting at my desk all day doing nothing for at least 10 years of my life prior. Even after the first two weeks lifting I noticed my body changing and that really pushed me to keep up with exercise. A year later and my diet was virtually unchanged aside from trying to consume as much protein as I could. I have a lot of trouble dieting because I like eating. I love food, and I love everything that most people would say is unhealthy. I fry everything in butter, I drown my green beans and broccoli in butter. I eat berries with heavy cream. Bacon, ham, spam, beef and chicken, fried, roasted, seared with butter. Sausage gravy every other breakfast. Oats with heavy cream and cinnamon. My eating habits are such trash that I'm amazed I ever lost weight.

That “fig” thing just reminds me of picrel. It’s more annoying than just getting called a fag. At least that way I know where you stand.

Yes, that’s what I’m talking about. It’s easier as a guy though because if you’re buff you can also get away with being a little chubbs and no one bats an eye.
Ladies are typically either seen as fit or fat with very little in between.

That diet does sound unhealthy af though. You should get your cholesterol checked anon. Way to life your one life to the max though. Sounds so delicious.

do the master cleanse for 10 days. I lost like 17 lb

>> No.12620287

Starvation/ultra low calorie diets aren't a good way to lose weight because if you go below your BMR intake for long periods of time your body goes into survival settings and lowers your metabolism even further. So you do lose weight, but you lose it slow and you feel like shit the whole time. Better to eat enough calories to maintain daily BMR and then get enough physical activity to have 500-1000kcal deficit on top of that.

You won’t lose the weight anon. You’re 100 pounds in the first place. What makes you think you’ll be able to have that amount of self control. You’re better off going to a weight loss center than yo-yo diets.
