At my local deli and hell yeah lasagna!

Which would you get, meat or veg?

veg is only good with ricotta cheese to give it a bit of firm texture.

Go for the meat!

Doesn't really look that good and $7.99 is insanely overpriced, especially for something that you have to cook yourself. Microwave lasange is like the same portion size for less than $3.

But truly, for me, it's meat with spinach.

I actually prefer vegetable lasagna as long as they still use ricotta and red sauce. The texture stays a lot more consistent and it doesn’t feel as dense

To be fair, you get a lot for your money. That lasagna looks super dense, so you'd be getting 2-3 meals out of one block, unless you're a fatass.

That just doesn't look appealing and you could probably home make your own entire lasagna for that price. I'm much prefer to buy a 3.5 lb chicken, root vegetables, celery, and onions for $8 or less and have several nights worth of food.

I'm assuming you meant to respond to the paying for convenience thing, and while I'm not him, it's a huge inconvenience. I just got home from a shitty, tiring day where my brain feels fucking broken. The last thing I want to do right now is put in 30 minutes of work to finally sit down to dinner at 8 PM, when I lay down for bed at 9 PM.

>> No.12605717

>>12605712
Forgot to add, that's assuming I'm well-practiced in making lasagna, which I'm not, so it's probably more like 45 minutes assuming I bought all of that shit and didn't stop by the store on the way home, which is now making it more like an hour and 30, plus another hour... all to eat lasagna for the next three days.

Currently I don't work long hours like that but used to work over 8 hours per day, sometimes 12, every day of the week and would still come home and make a nice dinner. The act of prepping and cooking is relaxing for me, so it's never been an issue for me to get home, spend lots of time cooking, spend like 10 minutes eating, then go to bed and do it all again the next day. But I know that's not something that everyone likes to do.
