Yeah, I have read about that ... police in South America are said to use Ginger Ale for torturing prisoners without leaving marks. They strap the prisoner down on a table, on his back, open a bottle of Ginger Ale, shake it up good with their thumb on the opening and then shoot the stuff up the prisoner's nose. Apparently it feels like a a hand grenade goes off right inside your head. There once was a prison riot in some South American country and the police ended it by letting the prisoners see them carrying big crates of Ginger Ale into the guard's quarters.
