You need garlic, salt, pepper, and onion powder in pinch amounts applied on both sides. Cook the burger (under 1/4 Pound) for 6 minutes on med high heat).

Last thirty seconds, push down with spatula against the burger in order to create a sear on the side that is against the pan, then flip, repeat.

Add cheese to second side last two minutes. Heat bun, one serving 15 seconds in microwave.

More than one serving, add 3-6 seconds per.

Slice onion, lettuce, and this is important: the tomatoes MUST be awesome.

I like cooking a Sunnyside egg and putting it on my burgers. With some sauteed mushrooms and onions and melted swiss cheese to top it.

Honestly, here's my go-to:
1.5lb ground chuck
8,0z extra sharp cheddar (I like cabot's seriously sharp), cut into very small pieces
1 spanish onion, minced finely
A little over 1/3c of bread crumbs
A little over 1/3c of your favorite beer (I like an IPA for this, as it lends itself well to the sharpness of the cheddar)
Salt and Pepper

Mix it all together and form patties. You should get around 6-7 patties. Put in fridge or freezer until ready to use.

Fuck a grill, use a super hot cast iron pan. The cheese, along with the heat from the pan, will give you a really nice crust. Top with your favorite condiments and enjoy. I like a slice of plastic american cheese, raw onion rings, on an onion roll with ketchup.

Best burger is made of giraffe meat, but it can be expensive.
