Not to mention the gaskets wich can mold and rot after just one use by a bad roommate.

Moka's are to be used when given free, pre-ground espresso coffee. I can't be fucked to change my grinder settings.
There are much better ways to brew a cup than to deal with Moka
French Press, lazy avg. morning, makes a good enough cup
Turkish, almost as easy are french press (uses burr grinder so I don't have to fuck with grinder settings), good coffee, but smaller cup.
Aeropress, when I want something a bit more involved
Pour over/chemex, used for weekends usually, makes dank coffee
Siphon, the God of coffee brewing methods, used on special occasions because cleaning it is a bit of a pain.
