My friends and I are having a cookout for the 4th and I want to cook sausage and peppers, as well as other stuff on the grill. What's the best way to cook them?

Simmer the sausages for a while in beer until they're cooked through. Meanwhile grill the onions and peppers over the charcoal, then brown the sausages. Some people cook the vegetables in with the sausage and that works fine too, but I like them nice and charred over the flame.

Shit, recipe is on my other computah, but I would say don't for a cookout. To me, sausage and peppers requires a good, slow-cooked sauce on a separate burner. And searing the sausages, then doing a pan for the peppers and onions, and putting it on noodles. At that rate, it's a weeknight meal. Just do beer brats.

Marinate them with olive oil, lime and lemon juice plus salt and pepper along with garlic powder.
