kek I did the same thing when I visited. I didn't like Hershey's either, but try peanut butter cups, the combo packs of cereal, the snickers ICE CREAM bars (they are in the frozen aisle). The frozen aisle has some good stuff, actually, try the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that are frozen (I forget the name) - it's so disgusting it's good. I ended up eating them cold.

Your not wrong. Hershey tastes like crap because when they first started making chocolate they didn't know how to do it and fucked up on the milk part. Now they add lactose or milk acid to give it its "signature" soured milk flavor.

The coke probably tastes bad cause of the corn syrup. Go for craft or Mexican cola, they use sugar.

The only good twizzlers are the pull apart ones. Otherwise they do taste like plastic. Red Vines are better and if you see them, try those.

Most of our chocolate isn't going to compare well to Europe's because of expense and history reasons. And even then the slightly better stuff you might come across will be stuff trying to market itself as European quality. We do have good chocolate, just not at the checkout counter.
