I cannot for the life of me think of a side that goes really well with egg salad sandwiches. My favorite that I've tried so far is probably pretzels, but that's boring. Any suggestions? I love egg salad but never know what to have with it

I've struggled with this exact same question in the past. I tried pickles, chips, and ritz crackers but none of them quite did it for me.

These are my first choices, especially a bowl of mixed fresh fruit. Fruit is especially refreshing with egg dishes, they provide a fresh bright flavor to counter the richness of the eggs. I'd do some kind of melon, fresh pineapple, and blueberries or raspberries.
But then this is also acceptable >>12525392, and get a flavor that's complimentary to egg salad, like sour cream and chive, or dill pickle, or salt and vinegar, or another tangy, light flavor like Kettle's Thai Spice or whatever it's called.

Sandwiches are a perfectly acceptable lunch to anyone in America as well. However, we do have certain fatties who think simple sandwiches (like egg salad, or a BLT, or some other 2 or 3 ingredient sandwich) isn't a "meal". They are mistaken and gross.

Treat it like any other sandwich, some iced tea, a cookie, a sliced pickle, and abag of chips, maybe an apple too.

>> No.12526631

Salt and vinegar crisps. Or chips if you prefer American.

Also chips. Or fries if you're American. Whatever, they both go well with an egg sanger.

>> No.12526645

Toss a strip of crispy bacon or a slice of tomato into that sandwich and your egg salad game will forever be changed. I like to serve something crispy and strong on the side with them, like a pickle or some pickled hot peppers or veggies. Cuts through all that mayo and sweetness.

Basic Lays potato chips are a lovely side and some tea or soda. Watermelon for dessert. Also green beans are a good side too. Al dente with salt and pepper.

that's just an egg mayo sandwich.
egg salad has lettuce, tomatoe, cucumber etc, and usually the egg is just sliced.

No, we call egg salad between two pieces of bread an, "egg salad sandwich".

Yes, it has egg salad in it - what other kind of salad would there be in an egg salad sandwich? Learn to English.

egg salad contains egg and salad, i.e. lettuce, cucumber, tomato etc.

pickled veggies will cut through the richness and make an easy, light side.

boil 2:1:1 water:vinegar:sugar. boil whatever left over herbs, some mustard seeds, some garlic cloves

once simmering, place carrots, zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, cucumbers, any veg pretty much that is permeable. cover veggies with pickle.

recommend you do a big 1000ml mason jar, it'll keep in the fridge for months
