I grew up in a rural area and we only had two Chinese places around us and I like them both. Seemed like good quality stuff and I still remember it being good, but now I'm around Atlanta and we have so many options. I like about half of them and the other half I'd say suck.

oh yeah. I used to live in florida and we had great chinese food. the only good food around here, is oddly enough the mexican places. since we have so many mexicans.

italian food is decent. at least valentis in vass, and Vitos in Southern pines. Vitos is a pain in the ass and only takes cash. good pizza and calzones, and great manicotti.

there is a greek place that is open in southern pines that is really good. also there is a place called Steve's TK that is this burger shack place ran by Vietnamese that has Pho, and Banh Mi that is pretty good. I just hate parking there. its a fucking tiny lot, and the place next to it is ghettoville. there's a mexican truck that sucks sweaty balls and is expensive right around the corner from it. the old southern and soul food places are gone. since hte folks that ran them all died off or moved the fuck away.

but these people are trashy backwoods scots-irish types. the blacks and the whites act exactly the same, and both chimp out for no reason. we do have a cook out, which is good. and of course the chik fil a.

but those places in raleigh are top shelf chinese food. the korean places are really good too there.
