Is V8 juice actually a good nutritional value or is it a fraud like vitamin water?

It's shit. If you want to up your nutrition easily, make your own smoothies at home. Greens, carrot, tomato, avocado, and 1-2 servings of fruit/berries for some sweetness. Throw into 16oz of water with some flax seed, blend, and consume with a couple of TBSP of peanut butter. Congratulations, you've just passed the fruit/vegetable intake of the average person (not that the bar is set very high).

Is it shit relative to homemade stuff or is it actually just bad for you? I'm a burger so our idea of health food is skewed.

I'm American too, man. Just look at the label. A lot of the ingredients are from concentrate (unnecessary processing), it's all juice without any of the fiber (lost nutrition beyond just fiber), and just 8oz of it gives you almost a third of your daily salt requirement.

It's better than fruit juice and soda, but you wouldn't want to drink more than a few oz a day. The recipe I gave above is literally nothing but healthy shit and you get to control the content/flavor.

Sure. I just don't really have a juicer right now but I'll se what I can do with a blender

You don't WANT a juicer. You want to blend it.

They figured out how to sell tomato juice. That's about it.

I do like the V8 Splash quite a bit.

It's pretty good if you get the low sodium varieties - they replace a lot of the sodium with potassium (great for juice-fasting without a headache).

isnt that the fruit version?
the cracked black pepper v8 is fucking biblical. original and spicy and low sodium versions are a hard pass
problem is the cracked black pepper only comes in the huge bottle and you'll never find it in a gas station or whatever

Oh yeah. Add worxhstershire sauce and hot sauce. Maybe vodka

juicers remove the fiber which is a major reason to eat vegetables in the first place

I m on a diet and like the taste . low sodium is my fav. 50 cals a serving. So it can help you feel fuller. Take vitamins if dieting.
