I don't think a lot of rich people in America hire personal chefs. I've spoken to a few multi-millionaires and they generally don't believe in spending too much on food (I don't blame them) except on special occasions here and there. And it's not like the person I know can't cook, they just rather eat pizza and burg.

It's possible to become a millionaire through owning a moderately successful small-medium business over several years, or getting an upper middle class job like pharmacy or engineering and investing wisely. These are reasonably realistic goals for people from middle class backgrounds (though of course it requires a lot of hard work, smart decision making, and a little luck).
