Anon, I don't know what pilaf is, looked it up, and doesn't seem like so (except for the rice). Looks good tho, will try cooking it.

Carreteiro is leftover barbecue (churrasco) meat fried in refogado (oil + onions and garlic) and then the added rice cooks in the same pan. Everybody has their own recipe and uses different spices, but it is usually simple, like some parsley and spring onion on top.

It works with any meat tho, I do it with minced beef bc living alone poorfag. I like to add bell peppers, tomatoes and to make it a bit spicy.
