I've actually never seen straight up water before at a refill fountain. If I wanted water, I would have to fill a cup with ice and let it melt. Sometimes if I was in a hurry I would even put it in my jacket or even talk to a worker or something and request water.

I don't get much variety besides your standard orange, sprite-type or cola type soft drinks, but a Carl's Jr opened up and I visited them for the first time ever. I was severely disappointed but they had ginger beer on-tap so I guess I'd pick that.

This, often white in color, or states "water" in a little gray tab to push. It'll be the still water that is connected to a lemonade or fruit punch, non-soda drinks.

A quick splash of lemon in your water isn't a bad idea to oops-pushed-my-free-cup-into-the-lemonade-dispenser just for flavor.

every ikea i've been to has had a cafeteria in the middle of it and a small snack bar at the exit. they always have a lingonberry drink and sometimes a pear drink. those are both really good. the lingonberry tastes kind of like cranberry but less tart.

Certain restaurants make me want certain things assuming I'm not drinking water. Slim Chickens for example (best fast food chicken in the fucking nation, don't @ me) always makes me want lemonade because the first time I ate there I had a bad stomach ache, and the lemonade cured it.

I weened myself off of soda about 5 years ago. I will still occasionally have one when I'm in the mood for it, but I have to REALLY be in the mood for so much god damn sugar. Sprite is my go-to these days, but every once in a while , I like a good root beer or coke with my pizza or movie popcorn.
