Crispy double the amount of bacon than you think you'd need.
Bitter lettuce, crunch is nice, and it's okay to have basic iceberg, or romaine or leaf lettuce.
Ripe, even amount of tomatoes. I like them thinly sliced and overlapping. Can't have tooo many good ripe tomatoes.
Mayo. Good mayo, nothing sweet.
I like my bread lightly toasted, and copious mayo both sides of bread.
Bread touches lettuce one side, tomato the other side (grind of pepper is okay on tomatoes).
Crispy bacon in the middle layer.

I've had some acceptable variations over the years. Best fake is when they do fried green tomatoes as the tomatoes, and pimento cheese for the mayo. i don't mind if they get the bread whole grain or sourdough or nutty, but I prefer white.

Turkey is an okay addition, but it technically becomes more a club sandwich.
Avocado is acceptable, too, as it goes so nicely with mayo.
Untoasted is okay if the bread is fresh and crusty.

The best BLT sandwich is with a little extra kick! I love to put a whole chicken breast in it and then toss it in a bun and you just end up with a whole chicken breast sandwich! Also the peanut butter adds a nice crunch to the whole sandwich. The other bonus of their chicken sandwich is their pickles which will make you forget you ordered pickles! I also like to add the hot onion or carrot, pickles, etc. in the sandwich. This is how I keep me full, happy and satisfied for the whole day. My husband will say this is the best BLT sandwich he ever had. Thanks for your hard work!!

It's all good. It's definitely the best chicken sandwich he's had - not much other choice. I've been going here since I was in high school and they've never looked out of place except for that weirdly low seating near the bottom. I like it here as much as the next guy who ordered there. It's my new go to place for chicken sandwiches. This place does not have a drive thru to the store but the price comes down so you won't even see a wait time. I've been waiting in line for over 9 minutes for my chicken sandwich. Only reason I give this place 5 stars is because I live in a bigger city like Boston so having a good place like this at the end of the day makes
