Sometimes. Steak sauces like A1 are tomato, raisin, vinegar, and salt and spices, with just enough sugar to not be bracing. It has a savory tang to it, and when you want it, you want it.

If I’m having a substantial steak, I like a variety of seasonings. Salt plus sesame oil, a small pile of sea salt with black pepper, A1 if in the mood, and fresh horseradish.

I like Pickapeppa sauce, which sort of tastes like A1 mixed with peppers.
Usually I salt the meat,
Then sprinkle and rub some Tabasco,
Then coat with a layer of Pickapeppa and/or Pickapeppa Mango,
Then allow an hour or more for the steak to marinate,
Then maybe put a bit more on,
Then put the Steak in the oven,
Or stove,
Or Grill Pan.
Then slice and eat.
