Ramen is S tier in Japan. Outsider of Japan I think it is B tier at best. If you haven't had ramen in Japan I think you really can't properly rate it.

Before anybody freaks out, the reason it is S tier in Japan and nowhere else is because Japan has a culture of eating and making ramen and they are obsessed with it. It can be everything from cheap comfort food to fancy Michelin starred bowls. There are over 2000 shops in Tokyo alone. New ones open and old ones close often. People are always trying to refine old styles, come up with new ones, or even just keeping a recipe the same.

I eat ramen like 3 times a week I never have a similar bowl in those 3 times.

Also thats not ramen. Its udon.

Meaning it's something that doesn't matter and most people don't think about? The pasta / spaghetti / noodles / macaroni shit has always been needlessly over-categorized. They're all close enough to the same thing. Most people don't care if you used durum wheat or not or if the spaghetti or whatever you want to call it is in one shape or another.

i agree with you for he most part, however theres a ramen place in my city run by japanese people that make A tier ramen, i always love going there. beats a few of the ramen places i went to in japan. Also a few of those japanese ramen chains have opened in my city
