I have left out a thawed chicken overnight and cooked the following evening and it was perfectly okay.

That's reassuring, thank you.

>a few hours
It's fine. Also, I love marinating in a strong solution of salt and vinegar after butterflying for 3-4 hours, it's perfect for sandwiches. You don't have to plan that shit the day before either. Just pat dry and saute and normal and there's a clear difference.

Guess i'll leave it in the brine for a bit more than an hour then, thanks.

couple of twenty minute cycles in the microwave MIGHT kill some of the bacteria colonies that popped up in the past few hours

That chicken was walking around for three years at room temp. What makes you think a few hours is going to ruin it?

>> No.12386644

>>12386632
i don't have a microwave
and even then i don't really want to ruin the chicken by nuking it
thanks for the advice though

The chicken wasn't dead and frozen when it was walking around hopefully

if your meat smells off, don't eat it
i cant believe any of these threads are genuine, and they are a recurring theme
if it stinks, get rid of it.

Yeah I left a bird to thaw in the sink for three days and then I left it in the fridge for half a week before I finally decided to bake it and I was fine.

Thanks for reading my blog

How many variations of this and the cook rice/boil water question do we need?
After the five hundredth time, it’s not creative, or funny, or clever, or even the most shit-tier forced meme. It’s just pure shitposting.

We do need a sticky, and attempts have been made in the past, but jannies and mods don’t give a fuck about moderation on /ck/.
The only thing that gets the banhammer on /ck/ is calling out the mod team for not doing their jobs.
