For me I pick Loire to drink for free (because they have such a huge variety of styles so I can have wine for any meal) and I annihilate Bordeaux because let's be honest it's boring and they make enough ripoffs of that style everywhere else. Oh but what about muh Sauternes they don't make a good clone of that. Please. No one cares about Sauternes.

This wine is ONLY about French wine. Lovers of Italian wine and Spanish wine and German wine are welcome to participate but only if the subject is FRENCH wine. And clueless Americans can go complain in another thread about how France is literally the only country on earth that makes wine, nobody cares for your ignorance.

The point in wiping out Burgundy isn't because their wine isn't good, just because it's wildly overpriced for what it is and it is about the most pretentious and overhyped winemaking region in France. I just don't care to pay what the vintners think they're worth to get what it is they offer.

Keep: Rhone (personal fave along with riojas and or big spaniard red blends), Burgundy ( best chardonnays and pinot noirs in the world by far rightly so) , and Loire i agree on. Very underrated best and cleanest whites in the world as they dont use oak often which means they let the wine speak for itsself.

Destroy: bordeuax its always hit or miss. Ive even had 200 and 300 dollar Bordeaux. 10 year old etc. Dissapoints a lot they are jus tliving of thier old reputation. Not that godly bordeaux bottles dont exist. But yeah.

I analyze and grade wine all day everyday got big vineyards following my insta blog im also a wine manager. Love food as well so no one better than me at wine food pair.
