You may not like it but this is what peak performance looks like.
Starchy carbohydrates are the fuel your body requires for long term energy and should form the basis of your diet.

fat causes diabetes, not starch.
fat causes obesity and over eating and pancreatitis, which leads to diabetes.

I could understand it if they were super crispy fries on a lovely, butter-infused roll.
But those look like fish n chips tier fries. Just kinda mushy and greasy. The bun looks stale. No seasoning or sauce. Or cheese or vegetables or anything.

Fuck are you up to, poms? What's your endgame?

Low fat diets usually replace fat with sugar or other refined carbs, which causes just as much heart disease and health problems. Lots of people are getting close to 500 calories or more from sugar in soda. You can't really blame one specific food for such a complicated issue.

Not in my experience.

>> No.12329546

>>12329528
if you don't eat fat it's still probably difficult to get fat even on a high sugar diet. Though I wouldn't recommend it.
This thread is about starches not simple sugars like HFCS.

in fact fruitarians are all very skinny and emaciated and they eat sugar all day. I would not recommend that. I eat nonfat dairy and lean meat sometimes but my regular meals are all starch and no sugar (to protect me teeth and limit empty carbs)

Sugar, faty foods, starchy/non-starchy carbs etc don't cause diabetes in themselves. However, poor diet can lead to type 2 diabetes because it contributes to excess weight gain.

Eat fat, sugar and all the rest in moderation so you don't gain excess weight. The trick is to choose less refined foods that don't get turned into glucose straight away and not douse everything in sugary/fatty sauces.

So instead of refined white bread you could choose brown or wholemeal. Instead of chips you can choose baked potatoes with the skin or sweet potatoes. Instead of white rice, brown rice. Beans are one of the best things you can eat (minus sugary sauces) because they are complex carbs (don't spike your blood sugar and slow release energy).

Don't snack on food often. Choose a protein (quarter of your plate), a carb (quarter of your plate) and a veg (half your plate).

It's a lot easier to get fat on high sugar than it is on high fat because fat is very satiating whereas sugar is not and can be consumed in liquid form ie juice and soda.

>carbs etc don't cause diabetes
they do actually. many of the earliest cases of adult onset diabetes were women that worked at laundromats and starched the customers clothes. since they got paid by the piece, when their hands got sticky they'd lick the starch off and keep going . after a few years of this boom type 2 diabetes.
