Nothing to do with flavors and everything to do with not being digestion-friendly. McRib without onions or pickles sits fine and causes zero trouble. Onions and pickles on the other hand are mostly cellulose and don't really get digested in a human GI tract, not good for low residue diet. I can't eat things like that without horrible pain and intermittent constipation and diarrhea as little chunks of undigested material finally passes through.
