Look at Ethiopian recipes, South African recipes, Moroccan recipes, Eritrean recipes, Berber recipes, Algerian recipes, and Senegalese recipes. Those are my favorites, but there's a treasure trove of good recipes from nearly every African country, even the very poorest countries have some delicious traditional recipes.

There are no black people foods. There are poor people foods that blacks adopted from whites. Whites actually eat chitlins, but we call them chitterlings. Chicken & waffles was not invented by blacks and no one knows where it originated from, but the earliest known restaurant to serve them in the 1840s was owned by whites. Soul food is just southern food and of course backs would think they invented that shit since their ancestors were forced to work in the kitchen. Soul food is all white. If you want real black people food, go to Africa. I can't recommend it though.

Most of those are not African though and actually have Mediterranean and Middle eastern influence. People seem to forget that people from southern Europe and the Levant practically owned Africa for hundreds of years. South Africa cuisine is all European. The Bantu that came into South Africa from the Congo after the European settlers came were hunter gatherers. They had little to no fucking recipes.
