I was never really that into Spam as a kid, normally because most of the time I usually seen it being eaten straight out of the can rather than being sliced up or pan fried. That shit made me pretty nauseous. Loosed up on it over time, and I kinda like it, even if it is a bit salty for my tastes.

I use it as a substitute for bacon, or lard, or ham, it really fills all roles. In fact I'm roasting some reds tonight with brats and will be using a can to add salt fat and protien to the potatoes.
