I bought a bag of onions like 2 week ago and they're molding. Usually they last like a month or two. Is there anything I could've done wrong that i molded so quickly?

They were probably contaminated before they ever got to you. Most companies ship onions and potatoes uncovered and it could have traveled through all kinds of rain and snow and temperature swings before reaching you.

in personal experience i feel like keeping shit in the bag or in damp areas makes it more likely to spoil. idk if theres any real truth to this but i think that taking shit out of the bag when you get home and putting it in a carboard box or something makes it last longer. also, maybe its what someone above mentioned and you got tricked into buying shit onions. start buying them individually instead?
