I enjoy eating this. I think it’s misunderstood.

Sure. Fry it at a medium heat, get a nice sear, and put a regular patty melt on it with a slice of cheese. Good on toast or whatever. Or dice it and treat it like bacon pits, bake it in a roll or throw on a potato bake.

I mean it's still cheap poverty meat, that's not misunderstood.

True, yes. But as a cheap, quick breakfast meat, I’ve actually enjoyed it. It seems a lot more mealy than other canned meats.

tastes great but fucking expensive for fake imitation meat product (TM)
great for taking on multiple day camping/hiking trips and the individually wrapped SPAM slices are useful in making your own MREs

I'd eat a lot more if it wasn't so fucking expensive

I used to love spam, then I got norovirus, and can't anymore. Just the thought is enough to make me wanna puke.

Lived in Okinawa for a while and they use it in everything, I've been converted. But I would always buy Tulip or the one that comes in a red can, it's cheaper, and tastes way better. Gotta fry it though, I remember my grandpa used to it eat raw on a sandwich, and I think that's what made me hate it.
If you're ever in Oki, get a Jef Burger, it's spam, egg, cheese, goya and mayo, and fuck it's good.

In the world of imitation canned pork, spam is the fucking fillet mignon at $2.45 for a 12oz can, sure. But its up against such rivals as "potted meat" and "deviled ham spread" I mean if you're at that point of thriftiness/misery you may as well make the jump to fancy feast and really have something to brag about.

I've delved into the deepest pits of the dollar general menu, and even I was taken back by how salty this shit is. Their use of Satan as a mascot is completely sincere.

>$2.45
i wish it was that cheap, that's how much the knock-off brands cost. Actual spam is like $4~6 here depending on size of the can.
Cheaper to just buy a pound of pork chops, especially considering that it's actual meat and not anonymous protein and lard.

spam is unironically a brilliant sandwich meat. You can make about 6 nice sandwiches out of one can.

Look at Mr. Moneybags over here, not making 10-15 sandwiches out of one can.
