In Yurop where "milk" is only allowed for the real animal products they for those plant "milks" most often simply use the simple word "drink", which I think is a pretty good neutral fitting term. Oat drinks, soy drinks etc, pretty good description.

Most farmers would prefer having actual business instead of being on unsustainable economic life support that could disappear at a moment's notice. Being a dairy farmer today is a pretty bad time.
