I make overnight oats with steel cut, half and half, a little water, and a spoon of splenda. The runoff from that is extremely good. Why the fuck would someone buy some oat runoff when they can make their own, FRESH, and control the ingredients?

I work for a company that does a product a lot like this. It's a neat processing scheme and involves pretty cool equipment. I don't really drink any of it but I just wanted to be special and autistic to say that I like the packaging and processing involved in aseptic products.

It's a shame because out of all the milks, this is one of the best as far as the creamy factor. I believe some whole foods serve this where they actually use the milk foamer on the oat milk, by itself its naturally more creamy than soy/coconut/almond, but when served hot and bubbly its pretty damn good.

Their is also something to be said about reheating your oats or soaking your oats in oat milk, it just kinda does taste better.

It also makes pretty damn good smoothies and does give a cereal-y texture/smell/taste to your smoothie if your into that.

also sub this into some recipes like banana bread or oatmealk cookies (maybe make it 50/50 whole milk for body and oat milk for taste) and it adds a note of flavor thats a welcome addition.

Most if not all vegan milks suck. This stuff is actually decent, just be prepared for a sort of drinking the left over milk of an oat based cereal type flavor.

I keep seeing this stuff mentioned everywhere. I think it's about to get pretty popular. I like the Planet Oat brand. It's got a much creamier feel than any of the other nut milks or soy milks and tastes much better too. I wouldn't drink it plain but I might like it even more than milk when it comes to putting it in coffee.

I manage a production team but have also done quality assurance in the past. These products are cool because the beverage is sterilized in a powerful heat exchanger and then packaged aseptically in a sterile environment to produce food that's got a 2 year+ shelf life. The filling machines are able to sterilize packing material, form packs, fill and seal them in a continuous process.

Non dairy beverages are what they are i guess lol, they're just nut water. It's like 95% water anyway and the rest is the same shit you get from eating the nut/grain itself, so it's not like it's a superfood or something. The benefit of these beverages is lactose intolerant people can drink them or they just taste good when you want something other than normal milk.

Nothing wrong with plant drinks, in fact can be quite tasty. But people need stop pretending they are like milk, they are a different product.
Also since they are often used as milk ersatz you rarely see a discussion about them without some vegans throwing in their retarded "arguments" against real milk.
