Yeah, half of the people on Food Network now just aren't even very great at cooking, or it's forced drama reality show shit. Diners drive-ins and dives is the only thing I find still watchable since it shows more normal people doing decent cooking most of the time.

PBS/Create is better overall for food shows.

I miss his show, I liked watching him guzzle a bottle of wine in between steps where he was actually cooking and giving decent instructions and showing proper timing. He also cooked pretty simple stuff with little things to turn it up a notch. It was comfy.

Actually it started being shit when he went to the stupid one hour show with a band, a studio audience, and the stupid ass bam shit, basic hollywood bullshit.

Check out his two 1/2 hour show series' which were just him showing interesting techniques and ways to do things without the hollywood bullshit. Those two series' were very different than the one hour series.

Then food network went into competition shit where everyone is running around like chickens with their heads chopped off, I find it to be unwatchable now. There's nothing to learn from that crap.
