I always like sweets (more) I suppose when I'm high on opioids. I also personally find food more palatable on benzos/baclofen etc...But evidence for that is a bit more mixed such that I wouldn't conclude anything either direction.

For the past 3 or so trips, I try to eat very specific foods so I can see how acid affects the taste/experience. Here are a couple:

>Jack Link's Steak Bites (2/10) 3-4 hours in, well past peak but still tripping
Gross. I felt insulted that an animal had to die, and on top of that, just to taste like salt. Texture was synthetic, and upon looking on the inside, it turned to small pink maggots. Stopped eating meat for like 2 weeks after that. Totally get why hipped go veg.

This one fucked me up. It wasn't even any "oh boy a cow AND a pig died for this" bullshit, the bun gave me hard dystopian future vibes, and both meats tasted like mushy salt. Had a bite, spit it out, and trashed it. Fries were okay but they needed less salt.

This was my favorite experience so far. Peeling the tangerines felt natural and watching the oils spritz into the air as the smell got more intense really made the fruit feel alive. I had a weird empathy for it. Holding a single piece in my hand, it looked like a small lung and even seemed to replicate the motion of breathing. The taste was amazing, but its acidity and juiciness were the best part. If my tongue could cum, it would have.

Bought this because I didn't eat the McDouble, It was rather fun to prepare, just easy enough to be stress-less, but engaging enough to be entertaining. The soup lost all of its depth. The noodles were a little slimier than I remembered. and I could only really taste spice, and a light chili flavor, that quickly subsided into just spice. It was food.

It enhances your hunger by blocking a certain hormone that tells your brain you're full while also stimulating your body in a way that makes certain textures a more exciting experience to eat, usually moist desserts or cool treats. It actually makes things taste less, but feel more.
