can i thaw frozen chicken using hair dryer???

>> No.12183730

no but it is genuinely good for drying out the skin after you salt it if you want really crispy skin and don't have time to air dry it for a few hours in the fridge

Put it in a container as tight as possible, a bag is the best. Put that in warm water. Water speeds up heat exchange tremendously.

I put mine in foil and pop it in the oven on 200. Doesn't cook it and rapidly defrosts it.

If you're using heat then it is not thawing the chicken, it's a really bad attempt at cooking frozen chicken.
You don't thaw with heat. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight or in a bowl of COOL water in the sink, with the sink dripping cool water into the bowl, for a couple hours.
If you thaw with hot water or a hairdryer you're just going to start cooking the outside of the chicken while the inside is frozen.

Good Christ, you're a retard. No wonder

Not trying to gain favor. That’s just, objectively, the best way to defrost chicken.

Over-night let’s it thaw slowly and more evenly.

In a bowl with cold drippy water provides the best surface area and also maintains a cool temperature for even thawing.
