Found a sixer of Sour Monkey at a ghetto gas station of all places, decided to try it since I love regular Golden Monkey.

Follow Monkish on normiegram to find out when can releases are happening. They announce the number of drops for each week at http://monkishbrewing.com/releases but don't tell the specific days. Weeknight releases are announced in the early afternoon and start around 4pm. Fridays are at noon or 1pm with no advance warning. Saturdays are once every five to seven weeks and are announced on Friday evenings. Tonight's drop was an easy walk-up score. After 5 there was no line at all. They sold out in about 3 hours.

Besides Monkish you want to check out Green Cheek in Orange, Highland Park in LA Chinatown, and Electric Brewing in Murrieta if you find yourself out in the Inland Empire. If you like stouts, Bottle Logic in Anaheim is mandatory. For sours you should visit Homage in Pomona or The Bruery in Placentia. Follow all these breweries on normiegram for can release info.
My favorite taproom/can stores are Select Beer Store in Redondo Beach and Provisions Market in old town Orange. The latter has a solid kitchen for lunch or brunch as well as bomb coffee. Can selection at Select is way better though; they often have Alvarado.

The novelty of bitter IPAs has worn off for me, just like eating high-scoville hot sauces did. Same for dark roasted uber-malty coffee porters.
I drank this and it was fantastic.
Lots of light malt, maltesers/whoppers style. Hazy orange, just the right amount of floral shit, and thirst quenching like few other beers I've had.

It's been fermenting for two weeks. I'll take a reading before bottling, but I'm pretty certain it's within the FG. But, the bubbler is still bubbling, albeit very very slowly (I haven't actually seen it bubble but the bubble cap keeps floating up). It's been this way for most of the past week.
Should I bottle it if it's at the FG? Ideally I want it conditioned within 3 weeks for a party. But should I wait longer to bottle it if it's still not completely finished bubbling, even if it's within the FG?

On a side note having a bit of a dilemma here. Favorite cousins wedding is coming up in November. Him and his fiancee are my drinking buddies in the sense that we go to the local liquor store every saturday and get a mix n match six pack to try new stuff so I want to give them something to have at the reception afterwards. Currently considering the 2014 Founders Big Luscious I have since I figure it would go well with the cake but I'm looking for any suggestions since this is the first person in my age group getting married.

Lots of Surly shit and a few brews in california San fran at the breweries. Those ones were just ok. It was disappointing to be in a place that seemed nice, spend 8 bucks on a pour, and feel like I could have got the exact same thing for 4 at home.
