>> No.12163929

Use your fingers.

A metal peeling slip on fingernail. They might just be a jap thing though

No joke. Roll them on a hard flat surface until you feel the peel get loose. After that you can peel easily.

With a spoon.

That breaks the vessels and makes the juice spill too freely. Good for juicing, bad for eating.

This is completely untrue, the orange peels like a clementine, there is absolutely no juice leakage

>> No.12164978

Bite two or three chunks of peel off with your teeth, then use fingers.

I dont peel them at all. I cut them in half from stem to asshole, then I cut out all the white stuff form the middle of the two halfes, then I cut each half into five crescents (again lengthwise) then I just eat the segments like a tiny melon, tearing the meat of the orange out with my teeth and leaving the peel like a melon rind.

Are you encountering random citrus you're compelled to eat on the spot? If so, how'd you do on the ruck, battle buddy?

>Do you guys carry utensil on you at all times or what?

No, but I only eat if it's mealtime and I only do so at a dining table.

>> No.12165219

tupperware has a peeling tool that is like a little plastic plow you can use and it works well, but ultimately I think there is more dignity in just using your hands

>Thumnail in near the stem
>peal downward
>Start in a circle tearing off the top of the peel while keeping the bottom connected
>Gently pull bottom free once whole peel is off
You know you did it right when there is a white thing sticking up from the center of the peel
