How have you all been dealing with the recent price hike in the 5 layer? Every nigh I tell myself that I wont stop for Taco Bell, but then I get in my car, have a few swigs of vodka from my car flask, have a smoke on the way home, have a few more swigs from my car flask, then get to an intersection where I can go straight and pick up some Taco Bell, or just turn left and go home - and I even made myself a nice burger before leaving work tonight. Yet it seems like every single night I get to that intersection and can't but help go straight.

The problem is that the 5 layer is almost $3 now, which, with two fritos burritos is over $5 after tax. So the question becomes: if you're going to spend over $5 on fast food, what do you do? There's no fancy xbox promotion going on, but sometimes the $5 boxes just seem like a deal, which also makes me feel like I'm being scammed, as I would never order any of those items other than the 5 layer. Tonight I got the chalulpa box but swapped that out for a gordita, because the single chalupa is garbage. I basically pay $3 for the 5 layer burrito I went for, and then get a taco (soft al fresco), a gordita (basically just a taco with shitty pita bread), chips and gauc (meh, but you can add the guac to whatever and it's already cheaper), and a drink (could care less, but got an iced coffee for work tomorrow (we have better coffee at work, but I don't even drink coffee).
