What are the best sugar alternatives? I've had splenda, saccharin, and stevia, they're pretty good. But I wanna know about some others that y'all like.

Bonus points if they're keto-friendly.

Have you considered real original sugar, like honey and fruits...?

You three years old OP? Just stop sweetening your food already. If you want something sweet then eat something already sweet.

Op is looking for something that wont stimulate a blood sugar response. Natural sugars are just as unhealthy as refined sugars

I would reccomend erythritol as it is granular and can be used in cooking much like table sugar. Zero effect on blood sugar and doesn't give gas like other polyols.

Sugar is not unhealthy if you dont eat it in unhealthy quantities. Water is unhealthy if you drink a gallon in 5minutes.

Fruit, as part of a whole food plant based diet.

>>12061445
Fruit has fiber to slow the sugar. It can still cause spikes if you have 500 calories of it at once, but not nearly as much as with sugar isolates or the faux-healthy shit like agave or coconut.

>splenda, saccharin
wouldn't recommend those. They give you diarrhea.
>stevia
There's also aniseed and licorice root.

And semi-sweet apples. The problem with sugar products is there's no limiters. Sure, you can eat a whole chocolate, that's about 50-200 apples in sugar, you can eat an apple or two, but there's no way you're gonna 50 apples, unless you have a blender, which is a whole other problem. Apple consumption is self-limiting, chocolate consumption is not.

Way ahead of ya there, bud.

In my mind the laxative nature is actually a bonus, I've always had constipation problems my whole life.

Thanks for the suggestions and the advice, I really appreciate it.

This has been enlightening so far, thanks fellas. I've been on keto for eight months now, and I just wanted to make some sweets. I'm gonna run some stuff by my dietician tomorrow, see what they say.

Eat some endives or cabbage (salted and mixed with oil and vinegar in a salad) or lettuce or kale. They have fiber and are good for this shit. Yogurt is good too.

Also backing for erythritol. Oddly enough it was one of the early sugar substitutes. I think it comes from potatoes.

Sukrin Fiber Gold syrup is legit the most delicious thing I've ever put in my mouth. Expensive tho.
