Why hasn't anyone invented a food with negative calories so by the time you finish eating it you actually LOSE weight? Seems like whoever did this would be a billionaire but no one is doing it.

Celery has like 5kcals per stalk. Crucifers are also pretty low calorie, but still have a net gain.

Doesn't count if it's fiber since you're just shitting that out.

Not all calories are equal.

it's not a net gain when you take into account the energy expended to eat and digest it. it's at worst neutral

A stalk of raw celery has about 1.4g of Sugar in it in the form of carbohydrates. 6 kilocalories right there. They also have about 0.1g Polyunsaturated Fat and 50.6mg of Omega 6 Fatty Acids, so that's another kilocalorie.

So a big stalk of celery is actually mostly water, but the rest is like 60% sugar and 40% fiber.

The only calorie negative food in the world is ice.Your body expends a little energy warming up ice to absorb it as water.

No. Everything organic in the chemical sense has calories you body will extract. This is what your digestive system evolved to do and it's pretty good at its job unlike you.

It's well established that negative calorie foods don't exist. The real question is: why the FUCK are scientists not working on this?

Why would you even want this? The calories you consume, they provide you with the energy you need to stay alive. If you consume negative calories, you are sucking the life out of you, like a vampire or a succubus.

Because what you're describing is a drug, not a food, and that drug already exists. Have you never heard of diet pills? You could make a food that contains a bunch of stimulants in it but that would be stupid because stimulants are powerful and dangerous drugs, hence why you buy diet pills in pill form instead so the fatties taking them know exactly how much to take to lose weight without dying.

Pickles are zero calories.

Only down side is they're like 200mg of sodium a spear. But the average american consumes like 3500 mg a day, should be fine.

There's also water.

Just eat at a calorie deficient, or walk/cardio till you're in the negatives in net calories, though that might hurt you.
