it's alcohol and sugar that barely tastes like alcohol. of course it's good, if that's what you like. if you like Pepsi or Mountain Dew you won't find anything to hate about the taste.

It's super sugary and tastes good, but you're literally drinking 45g of sugar per bottle, and when you're drinking in the evening that's a terrible thing for your body. It's like asking if Mt. Dew is any good.

While all 'products' have been 'manufactured' to some extent you'll generally have a much better experience going back to basics. Like vegetables compared to jar pasta sauce and base spirits compared to premix cocktails. No idea why half of this shit exists because it is just poor quality manufactured shit. Somebody wanted to make a product, make a brand, have a business, play at marketing. Just doesn't need to exist? A vehicle to add value to simple low quality products?

Mikes hard lemonade is basically a shitty overpriced vodka sour. Make a fucking vodka sour. I'm not even saying that a bottle of vodka need be anything than a basic ingredient, but sugar syrup, lemon juice, dress with a twist of zest and/or a cherry. To be fair I've no idea what hard lemonade costs? But a bag of lemons, bag of ice, jar of cherries, bottle of vodka and some simple sugar syrup shouldn't cost more than $20. Maybe pick up another bottle of spirits next weekend, boom suddenly you've expanded your range and drinking options. You'll get like ... 16 stiff fucking drinks that I'd not wanna drink more than 4 of? Why even buy this shit?

Most of it is aimed at and marketed to young adults/children who don't know anything. They want to get smashed. They are susceptible to branding and marketing and they think knowing things and effort is a sign of weakness.

But yeah, nobody needs to drink blue fizzy liquid called things like 'artik blu'.

No things beverage wise are a little more classy here in the UK due to codes of practice. There was a period in the late 90's to mid 00's when alcopop as it was known really took off. The advertising standards here doesn't really allow anything too stupid when dealing with alcohol. We briefly had hooch which is the same stuff. Smirnoff made Smirnoff ice. WKD made a range of luminous alcopops. Red square made a premixed vodka redbull. Generally while they were the same sugary trash designed to be binge drunk by students they had an air of legitimacy about them because they were brought to market by big alcohol producers. They were cheap, often £1 or less in multiples and quite quickly became attached to a disreputable culture of binge drinking and sort of faded away alongside some political grumblings and minimum alcohol pricing policies.

They totally still exist though. Instead now we've flavoured 'craft' ciders, 'botanical inspired' drinks and 'craft' gin. The kids who grew up drinking alcopop now drink toffee apple cider. The sugar content is down, the marketing is a lot more adult and the prices are higher, but it is very similar.

Like molson coors owns rekorderlig which was a creation of chilli marketing brands. Rekorderlig positions itself as a swedish family cider maker using spring water and natural fruits to create wholesome artisan ciders. It is a fucking alcopop!

The worst is craft gin pushed under the weird days of the empire/shabby chic/brrrrrrritish vibe. Makes me feel fucking ill to see the country reduced to a twee marketing stereotype to sell overpriced and overhyped alcopops to self described yummy mummies. Bleh.

A massive amount of sugar. Have fun getting FAT, thanks Mike!
The original 5% alc/vol 11.2 fl oz bottle will run you 220 calories, 33 grams of carbs and 32 grams of sugar.
There are 395 calories in 1 can (16 fl. oz) of Mike's Harder Lemonade (8% alc.)

It's bad. It's just Mike's Hard but with a gross alcohol aftertaste. 2/10, still got drunk, but would rather pound down numerous bottles of regular MH for the same effect.
