I'm gonna be going to Cheesecake Factory today for lunch because my parents are boomers who unironically enjoy this place. What's good there?

The cheesecake is pretty good heh

My GF (55 years old) was surprised they actually serve cheesecake. She has a PhD and I don't know what to make of this.

They have a terrible beer selection (maybe only one or two craft selections, and nothing interesting at that). Better to just order martinis if someone else is paying.

Their deserts are very good. Their food is typical American big portion, high sodium, high carb. So order a protein like a steak if you're picky. I like their cajun pasta or chicken and dumplings, even if I can make better at home.

As far as sit downs go I like the place more than Denny's but less than IHOP. IHOP since if I'm going to eat refined carbs, salt, fat, and sugars I might as well pay half the price.

>> No.12014664

This place is a fucking mess.
The menu is a small novel. They serve generic Italian fare (pastas, lasagna), but then they also have burgers and sandwiches, wraps and salads, steaks, omelettes, tacos, and fucking Chinese food.
There are so many items on the menu that they're website has a fucking search function on it.

And then the decorations are like a cheap Vegas casino with Egyptian decorations straight out of a low-budget mummy movie.

This is what I hate about the western hemisphere. Suburbias littered with these McMansion styled shitty chain restaurants with absolutely no tradition or soul. Strip malls, flex letter signs, no sidewalks and just huge fucking streets.
When will it ever end?

>> No.12014810

unironically like it. massive portions, a step above your usual diner food. deserts are actually decent, key lime cheesecake is really fucking good.

Get the Chicken Bellagio. Chicken breast and prosciutto served over pasta with arugula and pesto. Nothing real fancy but it's delicious. Not terribly expensive either.
Other posters are correct about the anemic beer selection and gaudy decor. Overall it's decent for a chain.
