I like coffee and tea for two very different purposes. Coffee is for when I want a meal-like drink (probably because it suppresses the appetite). For example, right now I'm drinking coffee for breakfast.
Tea is more what I drink at any time of the day that I want a hot beverage. Every night when I cook dinner, I have a put of puerh or Yunnan black or something at hand. After dinner, more tea. In the afternoon...tea.
Not sure why it never got bigger here, but my hypothesis is that it's a combination of (1) us being at war with/wanting to gain independence from Britain and (2) the weird "NO VACATION WORK WORK WORK" culture here in the US not allowing for any kind of cultural tea ritual (like High Tea in Britain, for example) to take shape.

depends on the type of tea. Puerh is meant to be aged. Younger ripe or raws are sometimes almost undrinkable , they are so bitter and astringent meanwhile a 10-20 year+ aged puerh is divine. Oolong and white tea doesn't really matter that much they just tend to mellow out more and become a tad sweeter which isn't always a good thing especially if you like highly roasted oolongs.

TGFOP is mid grade as far as Orange Pekoe goes. I suggest checking to see if you have a good loose leaf tea shop around you. Not one of the chain ones like Davids tea but a little locally owned one. They should have a decent selection of unflavored tea to choose from so you can get 20 grams of a couple to try out. Some of my favorite black teas are Mao Feng, Sun Moon Lake, and Laoshan black.

If you want to order online this is where I order from https://verdanttea.com/

Prices are a little higher but they are all very high quality and 100% organic which is good because China uses some bad pesticides. They even have a 5 for $5 sample pack for new customers and it has free shipping (at least it did when I got it 2 years ago) so I suggest getting that to start.

I chuckled

I moved to a new town and now my only options for tea are grocery stores or internet. I miss being able sniff the different loose leaves and buy an ounce of something new whenever.

I keep hearing about “coffee jitters” and “crashing” but I still have never experienced either of these and I drink 3-4 cups of strong coffee a day.

You're right. Milk waters it down too much. Only use sweetened condensed milk.

I used to work in a fast food restaurant where we could drink all the coffee we wanted for free (for about 5 years)

We had these bigass 44oz plastic cups we used for the large drinks; I used to fill it up with straight black coffee (made double strong since I was in charge of making coffee for everybody) to the top and drank 4-8 of those everyday depending if I was working a single or double shift

I can't even touch coffee now; I swear my heartbeat is irregular and any caffeine stronger than a cup of Earl Grey sends me into a paranoid episode/tachycardia

fuck coffee brah

What brands of green tea is best bros?

>> No.12025025

>>12022850
Just buy any black tea. Assam/ceylon will do. With milk tea you're going to steep the leaves for quite a long time so the quality doesn't matter that much.

>and now nobody drinks it
Where do you get that misconception from? In the south most people drink iced tea (usually spiked with a massive amount of sugar). It is more popular in restaurants than soft drink brands like Coke and Pepsi are. Half the country practically runs on that diabeeetus water.

This was your first mistake. Do not buy brand name tea. Get loose leaf tea from a shop.

How many times has America stopped Europe from getting utterly buttfucked by the German war machine? Just 1 really. It depends on how you define "help". Is basic trading help? Is supplying arms and munitions help? By a lot of definitions no war has ever been won without help. The Union won the civil war with no true military involvement from the outside
