I only like them on wednesday/Thursday. Weekends and Tuesday are bad days because they get stuffed in with overwhelming amount of customers and the poor workers trying to shut out the orders end up cooking it poorly or have the food languish on the heating racks as they stockpile ammo. Slow days they cook smaller batches and do it more carefully so it ends up being better.
Now personally I fucking love church's chicken more, but that might just be because I'm still not over the fact that the only one in town closed up and got replaced with some shitty low quality Chinese fast food place.

The only reason I'm here is the food, hence why I'm on /ck/. Our taxes, roads, government, etc are the literal worst in the country.
But holy SHIT are the local businesses in Lafayette good. A major problem with our economy is that if a restaurant doesn't meet the expectations of every other insanely good restaurant in town, it closes within two months. Happens to at least five places a year. "Good" chains don't last. The Smashburger here lasted a few WEEKS and straight vanished.
Oh, another thing that sucks is there's no good Indian food, but if you don't mind driving to Baton Rouge an hour later..

I would certainly think so! Nothing hits the spot quite like Popeyes. I love the delicious, crispy fried chicken with its flavorful, mouth watering spices and taste, the perfect, flaky biscuits that taste fresh out of the oven, and the really satisfying, fresh coleslaw to perfectly compliment the meal.

Yes, there's only one left. It's on the corner of S College and Pinhook in the oil center.
It's a true buffet, all you can eat. If you wanna spend $10 and eat nothing but biscuits you can. They also have legit southern cooking sides you can't get at any other popeyes.
Mac and cheese (best side they have), coleslaw, chicken livers, etc.
The interior is totally fast food (and is the equivalent of any other popeyes in the nation) but the actual food screams restaurant quality.

The Popeyes in my city are shit. Staff are slow and lazy. Place is dirty. The food is old, cold, greasy, or all three. Only people who eat there are wiggers and nogs.
I had good Popeyes when I took a work trip. It saddens me to know I'd have to drive out of town to get some if I wanted to have it again. Usually just get some chickfila or gas station fried chicken instead. Very sad feels.

There used to be a popeyes in my area, but the fuckin skids got caught selling drugs out of the drive up. It shut down, and is now a Dickies.

The kfc here was good, till it merged into a kfc/longjohn silvers. Everything fried there tastes like fucking fish.

I like them, the quality of the chicken is good albeit oily, breading is good, the sides tend to lean toward southern tastes- friend okra, corn on the cob, corn nuggets. Their sweet tea is delicious but teeth destroyingly sugary, I always dilute it with a bit of unsweetened. The rolls and biscuits are always soft.

Ive worked next to popeyes for almost 2 years and can still say, ive never had popeyes.
Had a gf years back that worked at kfc. Had their grilled chicken a couple times, was shit. Just not into fastfood honestly.
