I genuinely don't know.
I've been trying to eat it because food has been really bland lately (we stick to like 1 recipe for long periods of time) and after the initial agony, i found that it either just fucks the food up with overpowering bitterness (not often), or simply adds that spicy heat.
I add it whenever it fits, but i don't really understand why. The heat doesn't exactly change things much, and i don't feel flavor from it. I don't understand.

Made this myself: water, onion, Apple cider vinegar, ghost pepper puree, scorpion pepper puree. Does hot as fuck so i just use a little bit, but fuck it's good.

shouldn't the vinegar preserve it? I woundn't think that the tiny amount of preservatives in the Sirracha (compared to the total amount of hotsauce) would do anything.

Your probably not wrong this is just the first time I ever tried to make any type of hot sauce. I wasn't even initially trying to make a hot sauce I first made essentially pepper sauce last paste with a couple of small containers of ghost peppers and scorpion peppers that I bought; put them in Mason jars. after a while when they are getting low decided to just combine them in a clean hot sauce bottle that I had. due to the heat I know I will not going to go through it very fast and I was worried of it going bad before I could finish it so I was like I'll just had some Sriracha what could go wrong.

I have three hot sauces that I use: Tabasco for breakfast and when i just want a bit of heat, Sriracha for when I want a little more heat or on Asiany dishes, and dead scorpion when I feel like punishing myself. Been to lazy/ poor to have a sweeter flavorful sauce.

I don't care if sirracha is a meme, shits good.

Sriracha is a blended version of sambaal with added sugar and preservatives. If youve got a blender, I encourage you to make your own sambaal (tons of easy recipes online) and blend it for your own version of cock sauce.
The next step is to ferment some peppers and garlic for a couple weeks and blend that. After that you could get a small barrel and start making some patrician sauce that costs nothing and makes an impressive gift

Be careful of those old hot sauce bottles. They can explode, I had an unopened one in a cupboard for a couple years then opened it and the top and contents exploded all over my kitchen. It took me days to clean all of that up and I still found little particles months later, it was a serious pain in the ass.

I kinda started to appreciate it. I couldn’t take spicy food for a long time, but lately doing stir fries I’ve tried adding more pepper flakes and gochuhang, and they add a little something, it’s nice. Also tried more with mexican and indian food, and you can see how they really compliment the taste. That said I don’t like burning my mouth or blowing my ass out so I don’t know how much further I’d really go. Plus if you’re a scrub at using them like me it can really overpower the taste. Fucking szechuan peppercorns.
